Can't believe I ate the whole thing !

Well, after that big meal we had to digest it ... don't ya know. The other day, Bob and Karen were watching the river when an allegator ate a white egret for breakfast and later that day they saw three of them fighting. Guess we have to do the same if we're going to catch anything like that. Tomarrow, Karen and I are going to scoop the river for fossils and shark teeth. The "boys" are going to watch from above for the gaters. Hope we come up with some interesting artifacts !

It was a great night that started off with a magic act that was something to see. We had rib eye steak for dinner as we watched the show (for the second time). There were several acts. Gypsies doing acrobatic acts on horses, New York, New York, a chariot race, an evil prince, a good prince, unicorns, magic genies, the black stallion, cowboys and indians.... it was a very entertaining show !!!

Arabian Nights

Talk about glow in the dark ! I knew the minute he came out to perform what he was doing. He started in large fast circles then smaller ones changing leads coming out of the circles into a figure eight. His sliding stops were really nice... yep reining. It was pretty unique because they filled the arena with dry ice fog.

Arcadia Championship Rodeo..Yee Haw

Today (Friday) we spent the whole afternoon watching what we both love... horses in action... There were a few bulls thrown into the mix too. It was a great day...very sunny and warm. I think I got some good shots and I know the video that I took will be great. Here is some of the action at what is deemed the "Granddaddy of Florida's Rodeo".

On the move again !

Well, we are back at Peace River for the next three weeks. Kay and Ken are staying up in Orlando area along with Bob and Karen for the next week and will be meeting up with us on the 14th. There is a rodeo going on in Arcadia this weekend and we plan on attending that on Saturday. We ran into some folks we had met earlier in the year here. Good to see them. Yesterday they held a little get together for all the Pennsylvania folks. There must have been 40 people on the front porch... all from PA. !! It got up to 87 degrees today according to our thermometer. I have more pictures to post of the river and the serenity here along the walking trial. Until the next post... Just another ho hum day in Paridise...

Cocoa Beach day out

Kim and Steve had never been to Cocoa Beach so off we went. This was on Monday. We drove by Cape Canaveral where the cruise ships were docked. Didn't know that Steve had never seen a ship or ever been on a cruise before... kids in a candy store. Then on to the beach where we walked and walked. Even saw sting rays feeding when the surf came in. We ate lunch at "Coconut's on the Beach" and got inendated with "love bugs" and had to move away from our table.

Our next adventure was last night when we went to a dinner show called "Arabian Nights". Kim and Steve had the best time... well, so did we... I was amazed that Steve had never been to a show like this. Guess he didn't know what to expect and was thrilled that he agreed to go. I don't have pictures of that yet but will try to post them later.

Well, gotta run... time to head off to the Strawberry Festival today. Catch you all later !!

It was really great having most of the Florida family here for a terriffic get together. Kim and Steve hosted it at their "Get-Away" cabin that we were able to get for them while they were here. Kim and Steve say "hello" ! I think they are really having a great time.. don't you?
